The Left Coast Casanovas then ran to the ring to attack Finlay, and even though Finlay battled back, Nate Andrews and Draven Vargas were able to corral Finlay backstage, leaving Ethan HD to celebrate with the gold in the ring. Suddenly, the lights went out in the Kliever Armory… and when they came back, Quiz was standing behind Ethan HD! As Ethan turned around, Quiz blasted him with a vicious superkick, leaving the DOA Champion and his belt laying in the ring! Quiz is back, and “HBQ” wants the DOA Championship back!

The 2012 DOA Hardcore Rumble – the first of its kind – saw a number of DOA superstars battling it out for a chance to become number one contender for any championship in DOA, and it saw weapons aplenty be used by friend and foe! The Illuminati appeared to have the upper hand in the match, with Dr. Kliever being the sole competitor to stand up to them for long! Kliever and the Illuminati were all eliminated simultaneously, leaving Jeremy Blanchard and CW Bergstrom as the remaining two members in the ring! Blanchard asked for a microphone and offered Bergstrom the chance to win the Rumble himself, citing his status as the last true Pacific Northwest champion, offering to go over the top rope himself! But as Bergstrom turned his back, Blanchard pulled a chain out from his gear and blasted Bergstrom in the head with it, scoring the pinfall to win the 2012 DOA Hardcore Rumble! The snake in the grass now has a chance at any DOA championship he chooses!

With Mike Santiago unable to appear, the DOA Pure Wrestling championship was declared vacant, with number one contender CJ Edwards and former champion Aaron Bolo set to battle for the gold. But as the match was about to begin, the entrance began to play, and “Tornado” Tony Kozina entered DOA Pro Wrestling for the first time! Kozina entered the ring and asked that Bolo and Edwards agree to make it a three-way match, with Kozina as the third member! Edwards and Bolo agreed, and what followed was an epic encounter that showed what pure wrestling was about! With the outside man being unable to interfere without causing immediate disqualification, it was left to a one-on-one battle between those in the ring, with blind tags being frequent. Kozina showed that he had not lost a step in the decade since his last appearance in the Kliever Armory, with Edwards and Bolo meeting him every step of the way! Edwards’ speed and craftiness was the deciding factor, and after a blind tag to Kozina, Edwards dropkicked Kozina into Bolo and covered Bolo for the win to finally become the new DOA Pure Wrestling champion! Bolo reluctantly shook the new champion’s hand, as did Kozina – but Kozina made a challenge for a one on one rematch the next time he was in Portland!

The DOA tag team championship was on the line in Portland as Rock & Roll Fantasy defended once again against the J&E Experience, with Patrick Large and Ricky Gibson again having too much for the masked challengers to handle! Interference from the outside backfired, and Gibson scored the pin to retain the tag team titles! The J&E Experience asked for one more title shot, with Rock & Roll Fantasy accepting – but only if the masks of Ronas Albert Jobberson and Eric Wrong were on the line! It will be masks vs. belts on March 11th in Portland!

J_SIN Sullivan had a huge announcement to make on January 21st – but before he could speak, he was interrupted by the return of Michael Sweetser, the former leader of the Elite that had been banished from DOA Pro Wrestling following the destruction of the Elite last August! Sweetser verbally lambasted Sullivan, calling him a pathetic loser that was solely responsible for the end of the Elite and Sweetser’s tenure in DOA, and called for Sullivan to announce his retirement! Sullivan answered by slugging Sweetser and dropping an elbow on him, before squashing him in the corner and finishing the job with a second-rope elbowdrop! Sullivan said that his REAL announcement was that he had an open contract for anyone to wrestle him on March 11th in Portland!

The fans in attendance were treated to a hilarious display from both Myers and Phantasmo, as Ethan and Natural had no idea how to cope with their combined onslaught. However, the treacherous nature of the DOA heavyweight champion was finally able to overcome both men, as a huge leap into a Chi-Town Stomp on Phantasmo gave him the victory to retain the DOA heavyweight championship. Ethan HD now moves on to the 2012 DOA Rumble on Saturday, January 21st, where he will defend the DOA heavyweight championship against the returning Fit Finlay!

It appeared that Ugly As Sin would have their opportunity to win back the DOA tag team championship from Rock & Roll Fantasy on December 10th. However, Big Ugly was unable to appear at the event, leaving J_SIN Sullivan without an opponent. Sullivan came out for an interview on the situation, but was quickly interrupted by The Natural, who informed Sullivan that he knew exactly where Ugly was – now under the tutelage of Natural Selection! Natural crowed about Sullivan’s latest difficulties, and “offered” Sullivan a spot in Natural Selection – which was quickly rebuked by Sullivan, who sent Natural scurrying to the back! Sullivan’s new opponent, CW Bergstrom, came to the ring and the two engaged in a surprisingly scientific encounter – which was ruined when Natural and Bishop entered the ring, attacking Sullivan from behind! Bergstrom originally walked away from the encounter, but returned to the ring and ran off Natural Selection. Sullivan and Bergstrom appeared ready to get it on once again, but the two men slapped hands before Sullivan left the ring. Is this a new beginning for J_SIN Sullivan.. and can Natural Selection run far enough away to hide from the monster?

The wars between Mike Santiago and CJ Edwards over the DOA Pure Wrestling championship escalated once more on December 10th, this time in a match with a 20-minute time limit! However, once again, nothing was officially settled. CJ Edwards caught Santiago in a triangle choke, but had his shoulders down for a pinfall just as Santiago tapped out to the choke! DOA referees conversed and declared the match a draw, due to the duality of the finish. Santiago grabbed the belt and hightailed it, claiming that once again, Edwards would have to go to the back of the line to get another title shot!
