Main Event DOA Grand Championship Champion Mike Santiago vs HBQ Quiz Pulp Fiction partners Mike Santiago and HBQ Quiz will go one on one for the most covated championship in the Pacific Northwest The DOA Grand Championship. With Santiago refusing to wrestle on the DOA Stiff Competition Event he offered a shot at the #1 contenders spot if he could beat the man that pinned Santiago back in April Ravenous Randy Myers. Well Quiz accomplished that mission not only beating the Ravenous One but surprisingly shaking his hand in a show of respect after the back and forth battle. And now the DOA Show Stealer plans on sitting upon the top thrown of DOA once again even if it means beating his friend and partner in Mike Santiago DOA Stiff Competition Results
May 20th 2017 Portland OR 1st Match Dr. Kliever vs. Nate Andrews Nate Andrews made his much anticipated return to DOA in an awesome match up against Dr. Kliever. These two had what could arguably have been match of the night. Nate showcased his unforgettable technical skills against Kliever but in the end, the sheer size and strength of Kliever were too much for Nate too handle. After three consecutive Autopsies, Dr. Kliever was able to get the victory over Nate Andrews. 2nd Match Draven Vargas vs. Caden Cassidy (W/ MJ) Next was the next chapter in a feud that keeps getting more and more personal every month. Draven Vargas was determined more than ever to end the unmoral relationship MJ was having with Caden and Pat. Throughout the match Draven did a number on Caden’s knee, almost to the point that Caden couldn’t stand on it. At one point, Caden was thrown to the outside at which point MJ ran to check on him. Draven would then attempt to grab his book but MJ noticed and got to it first, preventing him from using it as a weapon. This backfired on MJ as Draven would grab her and toss her full force into Caden’s already injured leg. This would have a drastic effect on the end of the match as Caden would make it back into the ring just before the referee’s 10 count. Being in no shape to further compete Draven would take advantage by kicking Caden’s knee and rolling him up for the victory. 3rd Match Pat Large (W/MJ) vs. Marcus Malone (W/Phlex Walker) Pat had run out during the previous match to check on MJ after she had been thrown into Cassidy, therefore him and MJ were already out there awaiting Pat’s unknown opponent. To everyone’s surprise, Marcus Malone would make his DOA return alongside Phlex Walker. With no drama between Pat and Marcus, this became a straight wrestling match that would compete with the Kliever/Andrews match for match of the night. In the end pat would catch Marcus with the Tight Fit for the victory. 4th Match DOA Tag-Team Championship The Hess Dynasty (Wade & Dominik Hess) vs. The Co-Best (Kellen Raeth & Damon James W/Johnny Paradise & Al Tubbs Esq.) The hatred between these two teams going into this match was as intense as it was ever going to be. After losing the titles last month Wade and Dominik were ready to tear these guys apart and they weren’t going to let anything stand in their way. The two teams were so hostile with each other the official had trouble getting them separated so he could officially start the match. Once the bell was finally rung the two teams didn’t wait a second to tear into each other. The fight was intense throughout as the Hess Dynasty had one thing on their mind; hurt the current tag champs and win back the titles. Unfortunately for the Hess’, that plan didn’t pan out too well. During the chaos at the end of the match, Dom was pushed off the top rope which allowed Kellen to roll him up and get the victory for his team, thus allowing them to retain the titles. 5th Match DOA Grand Championship #1 Contenders Match Quiz vs. “Ravenous” Randy Myers This match was a breath of fresh air following the chaos of the tag match. Quiz and Randy put on a slower paced contest as they fought for the chance to fight for the #1 Contenders spot for the DOA Grand Championship. Having fought each other many times before, these two knew each other so well they were having a hard time getting a one up over each other. They decided to rely on unconventional methods to get the upper hand which led to some pretty hilarious situations. In the end Quiz was able to score the victory and secure himself as #1 contender. 6th Match 8-Man Elimination Tag-Team Match Ricky Gibson & The 4 Minutes Of Heat (Ricky Gibson, Eddie VanGlam, Steve West, & Sandy Cole) vs. The Chaos Theory (Drexl, Karleena Gore, Udo, & Nurse Ratchet) This matched started off stranger than possibly any match in DOA’s history. The 4 Minutes of Heat came to the ring first followed by Drexl, Gore, & Udo. Before the fourth member of Chaos Theory came out Drexl had a message for Gibson. He proclaimed to tell Gibson that since his last confrontation with Janice where he had sexual relations with the guitar, Janice hasn’t left him alone. She even went as far as leaving a package on Drexl’s porch. Derek then called out his fourth partner, Nurse Ratchet to bring out the “package” that was left for him. Ratchet was dragged out in a body bag and Drexl quickly opened it to reveal Nurse Ratchet and a baby guitar. This infuriated Ricky as Drexl proclaimed that he wasn’t even sure if it was his. If the pre-match shenanigans weren’t crazy enough, the match itself topped the cake. The match consisted of everything from titty twisters, to nipple suplexes, to a rectal exam. The first person eliminated was Ricky’s drummer, Sandy Cole, closely followed by Karleena being eliminated. Udo, Ratchet, VanGlam, and West all started brawling outside of the ring which would lead to the four of them being counted out. While the ref was distracted on the chaos outside, Ricky hit Drexl from behind with the guitar. Quiz then appeared and hit Ricky with a superkick and pulled Drexl on top of Ricky just in time for the ref to turn around and count the pinfall giving Chaos Theory the win. 7th Match DOA Pure Wrestling Championship Johnny Paradise (W/Co-Best & Al Tubbs Esq.) vs. Julian Whyt This match had all the makings to be an instant classic, two great in-ring athletes competing for one of the top championships in the Northwest. The fan favorite Whyt took the fight to Paradise who had his Co-Best groupies at ringside for support. Eventually their presence at ringside helped sway the momentum into Paradise’s favor. Unfortunately for Paradise, the presence of Co-Best would ultimately be his downfall. Damon James would hop up on the apron to distract the ref so Paradise could cheat but it would backfire and James would stay on the apron for too long which would distract the ref from making the three count on Julian. Paradise then started arguing with James which allowed Julian to roll him up and get the win, retaining his championship. Main Event FMW Rules Match Eric Right vs. Dr. Luther This was easily the most extreme match of the night, and it certainly started off that way. These two started fighting on the outside of the ring and kept the fight out there for a good portion of the match. They brawled into the crowd using whatever weapons they could get their hands on, even taking the fight out into the street. Eventually they got back into the ring, however things didn’t do too well for Luther. Eric eventually was able to get Luther handcuffed to the top rope leaving him essentially defenseless. After a merciless beating another ref came to the ring with the handcuff key to free Luther. This didn’t sit too well with Eric and he quickly took his frustrations out on the ref by punching him in the face. Luther, now free, started to turn the match around, including avoiding what would have been a devastating fireball to the face. Eric would then trip him up and score an illegal pinfall by putting his feet up on the rope. The other ref who was earlier assaulted noticed the feet and called off the decision. The match was then restarted and Dr. Luther was able to take advantage and score the pinfall after a devastating powerbomb to Eric.
